“Let Go and Move Upwards” - Key meditative statements exercise on “Letting go of Harmful Emotions & Thoughts Patterns”

A series of “Let Go and Move Upwards” articles: Article Five – Key meditative statements exercise on “Letting go of Harmful Emotions & Thoughts Patterns” Last week, l have shared with you how to identify and let go of the need for control, fear of chaos and worries. This week, we shall focus on identifying thoseharmful emotions and thoughts patterns that keep you trapped in a destructive cycle and from moving on and upwards. Once again, we will employ the key meditative exercises to let go of them. Focus on each of the sentence for 1 min. Repeat the sentence either aloud or in your mind for 10 times before moving on to another sentence. Finally, follow the instructions under “Reflections” and add your own statements. Repeat your “letting go” statements daily until next week’s article.

LETTING GO OF ANGER
I will feel and release any angry feelings I have today. I can do that appropriately and safely.
LETTING GO OF SELF-CRITICISM
Today I will appreciate my progress. I will let myself feel good about what has been accomplished.
LETTING GO OF BEING A VICTIM
God, help me let go of my need to be a victim. Help me let go of my belief that to be loved and get attention I need to be a victim. Surround me with people who love when I own my power. Help me start having good days and enjoying them.
LETTING GO OF RESISTANCE
Today, I will not run from myself, my circumstances, or my feelings. I will be open to myself, others, my Higher Power, and life. I will trust that by facing today to the best of my ability, I will acquire the skills I need to face tomorrow.

With awareness, we are able take action to let go and move upwards!
