5 Things you shouldn’t be too bothered with when you are young

    By Mike Wang | November 28, 2007

    Giving up

Giving up as in giving up current stability for something that will potentially give up better prospects in the future. It is the seizing of opportunity, by giving up, you open up doors to the world of possibilities as by staying in a current job or situation, you are limiting yourself and blocking up all other opportunities. By daring and take up the courage to give up current stability for a better future.

    Jilted

We need to go through a whole series of relationships before we can really find someone that is suitable for us. It is like the process of evolution, by going through this process of falling in and out of love, we are constantly learning more about the person that is suitable for us and learning more about ourselves in the meantime. What we can’t afford to give up is our dreams for a better future with our future spouse. Being jilted is not an excuse for us to wallow in self pity. Young people lead a very fast pace of life and attempting to drown in the dry river of love is not something the young should be doing.

    Divorce

Hanging on to a failed marriage is something that is worse than being jilted. Many couples attempt to salvage their marriage as they might have some young children. However, some differences might be just too great to compromise. By the time the children have grown up and the couple wants to find a life of their own, it might be hard for them to find another partner as age is nothing something that is very forgiving.

    Unemployment

It is normal to feel unsecure when all your peers are employed when you are not. However, many of the top entrepreneurs started up not as employee but as leaders of their small fledging business. Being given the sack might be the prefect opportunity for you to take advantage of the opportunity to setup the business that has always been your interest. Bite the bullet and face the fear of unemployment, you might find another job with greater prospects after undergoing retraining. It’s hard to teach old dog new tricks, but what is stopping the young from gaining new skills?

    Failure

A young person should be able to take failure in his/her stride. Failure is the mother of success. How many times have we heard that? How often do we give up after failing a few times? Do you ever examine the reason/s why you are not successful? Do you revamp your strategy to try again or you allow the bitterness of failure to overwhelm you? Do you endeavor to manifest success or you are a failure avoiding person? Some many questions, yet I believe deep inside of us, we are all engineered for success! Why? Keep tune for my next article on failure.
