Holding on to Your Dreams

Each year, we will set goals and resolutions However, at the end of the year, do you find yourself repeating the same circle yet the initial goals that were set are still far from reach? Does this sound familiar? There are several areas that we could build ourselves to reach our goals.
1) Bear no grudges towards life
We set goals for our lives. When we are far from it, we could become disillusioned or discouraged. At times, we may blame others, the situations or even ourselves for failing. Yet, people who are truly successful do not allow these events to pull them down, they move on, not blaming their past, whatever Life has dished to them. Instead, they rose above their situations and take charge. Along the journey of life, we will face troubles, pain and hurts. Yet, these are valuable teachers in our lives that can enable us to become champions. Instead of blaming, why not look upon them as gemstones that brought sparkle to your life.
2) Continue to stay in the environment
When difficulties come, it’s easy to want to give up and flee. Holding onto your dreams and vision becomes a challenge. I saw a program before where this lady was fired due to the mistakes she made at work. However, as it was her dream to be an outstanding hair designer, she continued to stay in the environment though it was tough. She chose not to flee but to face her difficulties squarely. In life, when you meet with difficulties, is this your first response to flee? Now is the time to face your difficulties squarely in the face and stay on. There will be a personal breakthrough in your life.
3) Continue to build yourself in this area of knowledge
There is a time for everything in our lives. There are times when we will be moving swiftly yet other times, we seemed to be in a standstill. During times, when we are in a state of waiting, one should build up your understanding and knowledge in this area that you are moving towards. You never know when this resources bank would be drawn to propel you in the next stage of your goals.
Life can be a great teacher or a great discourager. What is your choice?
